I’m pretty big into planning. 

I’ve just finished a three-day off-site, focused on my next 90 days of work. Some might say its excessive to spend 3 days away from my business (actually its two because one day is a Saturday – in which case you might say its excessive to spend 3 days away from the family; and my wife might agree).

Despite the regularity with which I write, I still find there are times when writing is hard. It is hard to come up with something (a topic) that I am happy to write about. It is hard to write a piece that I am happy with.

In many cases, we sit to write and our fight or flight response is turned on. We get adrenaline and cortisol releases. When it comes to running away from danger these are perfect – higher blood pressure, higher energy and increased availability of repair substances.
